The following antennas have been tested and qualified by Somewear Labs for use with the Horizon Hardware Unit. Use of other antennas is at the integrator’s discretion.

> **Note**
>
> It is the integrator’s responsibility to verify the suitability of any selected antenna for their specific application and to ensure compliance with applicable RF regulations.

## LOS Antennas (Aircraft and GCS)

Somewear Labs recommends a linearly-polarized, ground-plane-independent antenna with an omnidirectional radiation pattern. Maximum in-band VSWR should not exceed 2:1.

| ANT-915-IPW1-RPS | TE Connectivity | Half-wave dipole. Ground plane independent. Qualified for aircraft and GCS use. |

## BLOS Antennas (Aircraft and GCS)

Use only Iridium- or Inmarsat-certified antennas with the BLOS radio (matched to the satellite modem variant of the unit). These antennas have been tested and approved by Iridium Satellite Communications for use with their respective networks.
