FAQs

Why can’t I add another workspace?

Only Workspace Admins can create new workspaces. If you would like to add more Workspaces, please contact .

How can I invite new members to a Workspace using Grid Web?

We recommend inviting new members to a workspace by using a Workspace Key or Workspace QR code. To generate a key or code, please follow these steps:

Account > Workspaces > Select Workspace > Settings tab > Generate new key/ Generate QR Code.

Refer to to learn how field operators can quickly join your Workspace.

Can I add users or move users to another Workspace while they are using satellite data without cell or wifi service?

At this time, joining or being added to a Workspace requires the operator to be connected to WiFi or LTE. A user who is blocked from a Workspace will be notified over satellite and that Workspace will be removed from their list of Workspaces.

What happens if a device is assigned to a Workspace, but the account that pairs to the device, isn't?

Assigning a device to a Workspace is not a permanent change. If the person who pairs to the device is not a Workspace member, the device will default and be reassigned to the member's active Workspace. This is designed to ensure security for Workspace groups.

How do I delete members from my Organization or Workspace?

You must be an Organization or Workspace Admin. You can remove Organization members and archive Workspace members by selecting the (—) icon on the right hand side of their respective Members view. If you do not see this icon, please contact hello@somewearlabs.com for support.

What happens when I remove a member from my Organization?

Removing a member from an Organization permanently removes them from the Organization. However, removing a member from an Organization does NOT automatically remove them from all Workspaces within that Organization. To remove them from all Workspaces, you need to access and remove the Member from each.

What happens when I archive a member from my Workspace?

Archiving a member from a Workspace removes them from the Workspace, until unarchived, and they will no longer be able to operate within that Workspace. Archiving an ATAK user will block that phone from being able to access the Workspace as well.

As an Organization or Workspace Admin you have the ability to unarchive a member to reintroduce them to a Workspace. Within the Workspace members view, select the Show archived checkbox, then select unarchive.
